The Promised Land of the Sisters of Boulaur
August 2020. Perched on a hill, Boulaur is a very small village, typical from Toulouse countryside with its dozen of white-stone houses, its unique street, small school, tiny city hall… and its XIIth century abbey. But be careful : the 33 nuns cloistered between this walls do not belong to middle-age… on the contrary. Right next to the multi-centennial cloister, three cranes are dancing in the sky above a massive building site. Every week Sister Anne, Sister Beatrice and Sister Guillemette are walking in the mud with their helmets and yellow vests on. Right next to gigantic concrete pillars and deep craters, they discuss the advancing work of their XXIst century barn, with the project manager. Within the walls, they learnt how to cook, milk a cow, manage social media, sell tons of jam and construct an impressive ecological and beautiful building for and with the nearby population.
